Couples in Recovery

Share Article

For several years I facilitated family and couples groups at Ashley Addiction Treatment and is fortunate to know Robert Navarro, Ph. D., originator of the Roadmap for the Journey: A Path for Couple Recovery, which is a method for working with couples in recovery.

Support couples share and learn about the impact of addiction their relationship. Healing their relationship strengthens their individual and joint recovery, transforms the experience of recovery from a path of walking alone toward a journey together. Recovery is about change and relationships change over time, so this can be a time to change together.

Seeing couples in recovery facilitates changing and healing the relationship in tandem with the important changes each person is making toward recovery.
